New Nature Center Unveiled at Sherwood Island Park

Last Wednesday…a crowd of several hundred people were on hand as the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Friends of Sherwood Island State Park celebrated the opening of the new nature center overlooking Long Island Sound between East Beach and the salt marsh nature trail at the park.
Besides the DEP and the Friends of Sherwood Island State Park other donors included Newman’s Own Foundation. … more »
