Film Star Leaves Research Legacy

Late actor Paul Newman has played a role in the latest round of research run by the McCusker Foundation for Alzheimers Disease Research in Nedlands.

He launched his food business more than 25 years ago, with the Newmans Own Foundation (NOF) since donating millions of after-tax profits to charitable programs around the world.

A $54,000 grant secured by the foundation late last year has enabled researchers to start investigating whether lifestyle factors have an impact on developing Alzheimers disease.
