AIND/Giant Steps School
“As the mother of a child diagnosed with a developmental disability in 1992, I know firsthand the difficulties parents face in finding comprehensive treatments to meet their children’s educational and therapeutic needs. Due to the lack of services available at the time of my daughter’s diagnosis, a small group of parents and I formed Giant Steps to provide our children with state of the art care in a supportive environment where they could still enjoy typical childhood experiences. Grants, like those we have received from Newman’s Own Foundation, have literally made the impossible possible for small grassroots organizations like ours with limited resources and a long list of needs.” — Kathy Roberts, President/Founder, AIND/Giant Steps School About AIND/Giant Steps SchoolAIND/Giants Steps mission is to enhance the lives of children and adults with neuro-biologically based learning and developmental disabilities by developing and maintaining outreach, educational, recreational and therapeutic programs and supporting related clinical and medical research. |
